Haven: a Venue at The Office
This is my Batchelor thesis. When home offices became the norm in 2021 I began my project by researching office environments, -with the intent to understand its impact on the employees.
Interviews, probe kits and study visits were made. The office's important role as a meeting ground emerged, alongside with the importance of a functioning sound environment.
The project culminated in an investigation of paper as a sound absorber, where the organic fractal pattern is supposed to function both as a breaker for sound waves and to promote well-being among colleagues.
We know that green plants increase well-being in workplaces. Perhaps it is not the green color itself, but the fractal pattern plants form that exude this comfort.
Exhibited at Konstfack spring exhibition 2021.
